What is Zuato and what does it do?
Zuato is a UAE-based payment solutions provider offering a complete range of payment acceptance products for businesses of all sizes. We provide merchants with the tools they need to accept payments quickly securely and reliably whether in-store online or on the go.
Our product range includes POS Machines, Mini POS, Soft POS, Payment Links, QR Payments, Recurring Billing and API integrations. Whether you are a small food truck or a large enterprise we have the right payment solution tailored to your business needs and scale.
Who can use Zuato payment solutions?
Zuato payment solutions are designed for businesses of all sizes across all industries operating in the UAE. From freelancers and small vendors to large enterprises and government entities our solutions are built to scale with your business needs. Whether you operate a retail store restaurant food truck e-commerce platform or a subscription-based service Zuato has a solution for you.
What payment methods do your solutions support?
Zuato solutions support a wide range of payment methods to ensure your customers can always pay their preferred way without any friction.
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and American Express across all our payment solutions. Our solutions also support contactless NFC payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and QR code-based payments for maximum flexibility.
Is Zuato available only in the UAE?
Zuato is currently headquartered and operating in the UAE with our payment solutions fully licensed and compliant for the UAE market. While our primary operations are UAE-based our solutions support international card acceptance enabling you to accept payments from customers worldwide.
What languages does the Zuato dashboard support?
The Zuato merchant dashboard currently supports English with Arabic language support being rolled out as part of our upcoming platform enhancements. Our support team is fully bilingual and available to assist merchants in both English and Arabic for any queries or assistance required.
How do I get started with Zuato?
Getting started with Zuato is simple and straightforward. Begin by submitting your KYB company documents and KYC documents for all shareholders for verification.
Our team will review your submission and provide a pre-approval update within 24 hours of receiving all required documents from your end. Once pre-approved we submit your application to our banking partners for final approval which is typically completed within 3 to 4 working days. Upon full approval your chosen solution will be activated and ready to use within 2 to 3 additional business working days.
Does Zuato offer customer support?
Yes Zuato provides dedicated merchant support to ensure your payment operations run smoothly at all times without any disruption to your business. Our support team is available to assist with onboarding technical queries transaction disputes and any operational issues you may encounter.
You can reach our support team via email phone or through the merchant dashboard support portal during business hours for prompt assistance.
Can I use multiple Zuato solutions at the same time?
Yes absolutely. Zuato is designed to be a complete payment ecosystem and many of our merchants use multiple solutions simultaneously for maximum coverage. For example you can use a POS Machine at your store counter, a Mini POS for mobile staff and Payment Links for online or remote customers all under one merchant account.


Payments & Settlements

Questions about transactions and payouts

How quickly will I receive my settlement funds?
Zuato offers next business day settlements for all successful transactions processed through our payment solutions. Funds are transferred directly to your registered bank account and you will receive a detailed settlement report via your merchant dashboard for full transparency.
What currencies do Zuato solutions support?
All Zuato payment solutions process transactions in UAE Dirhams (AED) as the primary settlement currency for all merchants operating in the UAE.
While settlements are made in AED our solutions accept international cards issued in all major foreign currencies. The currency conversion is handled automatically by the card networks at the prevailing exchange rate at the time of the transaction.
What are the transaction fees and pricing?
Zuato offers simple transparent flat rate pricing with no hidden fees or surprise charges on any of our payment solutions. Domestic standard cards such as Visa and Mastercard are charged at 1.75% per transaction. Premium and rewards cards are charged at 2.30% and international cards at 2.45% per transaction.
American Express transactions are charged at 3.50% per transaction. A fixed transaction fee of AED 1 is applied on every successful transaction processed through our solutions. Special subsidised rates are available for Government, Healthcare and Education sector merchants. Please contact us directly for custom pricing details.
How do I process a refund for a customer?
Refunds can be processed easily through your Zuato merchant dashboard by locating the original transaction and initiating a full or partial refund as required. Refunds are typically reflected back to the customers card within 5 to 7 business days depending on the customers issuing bank processing timeline.
Are there any monthly fees or long term contracts?
No. Zuato does not charge any monthly subscription fees or lock merchants into long term contracts of any kind. You only pay the flat transaction rate on each successful payment processed. This ensures complete flexibility and full cost transparency for your business at all times.
What happens if a transaction fails or is declined?
Failed or declined transactions are not charged any fees. You only pay the transaction fee on successfully completed and approved payments.
In the event of a declined transaction the customer will be notified immediately and can attempt the payment again using a different card or payment method without any issue. All failed transaction details are logged in your merchant dashboard for full visibility and reconciliation purposes.
Is there a minimum or maximum transaction limit?
Transaction limits may vary depending on the payment solution and the merchant category as defined during the bank approval and onboarding process. Please contact our team for specific transaction limit information applicable to your business type and chosen payment solution for full clarity.

Are Zuato payment solutions secure and compliant?
Yes. All Zuato payment solutions are fully PCI DSS compliant ensuring the highest standards of payment security for both merchants and their customers. Our solutions use end-to-end encryption and tokenisation technology to protect all sensitive card data throughout the entire payment transaction process.
Is my customer card data stored on Zuato systems?
No. Zuato does not store any raw card data on our systems. All card information is tokenised and encrypted in full compliance with PCI DSS standards.
Tokenisation replaces sensitive card data with a unique token that is used for transaction processing. This ensures that even in the unlikely event of a breach no actual card data is ever exposed or compromised.
What fraud protection measures does Zuato have in place?
Zuato employs multiple layers of fraud detection and prevention tools to protect merchants from fraudulent transactions and chargebacks at all times. Our systems perform real-time transaction monitoring with automated alerts for suspicious activity to ensure your business is always protected.
How does Zuato handle chargebacks?
In the event of a chargeback our merchant support team will notify you immediately and guide you through the dispute resolution process step by step. We provide full documentation support to help merchants respond to chargeback claims effectively and within the required timeframes set by the card networks.
